I drive and it depends on what your goals are. If you want the best money, benefits and time at home go with a union company. Go to www.teamsters.org and they have links to most.
ABF, Roadway, Yellow, Penske, UPS, UFS Holland are all union. There are many companies that try to sell you a line of BS about best pay and time at home but that is all it is "BS" If you want more detailed info e-mail me and I'll be glad to answer your questions.

Hey, There are several,
If I was him, I would try to contact a Company that would help him pay for a truck.
There are several that do this..
He might just go sit and talk to some of the drivers at a good truck stop..
Also, many of the companies will be giving their names etc out at the school..
Good luck.. Tell him to just keep it between the green.

there are lots of companies out there, his best bet would be to ask drivers he knows, or can find at a truckstop what they think. It all depends on what your looking for:hometime, money, new truck, freedom, insurance. just tell him not to go with the first he talks to. shop around a little before he decides. I personally am Leased on to Arrow but thats because the are what I want. For a pretty good list of companies and benifits goto www.bubbajunk.com
