Hi, I have a 1990 olds ciera, the engine is shaking, I guess you would call it a miss, the coil pack, spark plugs, and wires have been replaced but its still shaking can anyone tell me what it could be? Thanks

The car is running rough like its missing, no broken motor mounts.

there is no distribator because it has a coil pack, it also has a crank sensor instead of timing.

You need to get it to a reputable shop and have it thourally checked. You could have a "miss" caused by bad valves or valve timing.Make sure you did not cross plug wires(hook wrong wire to wrong plug). You may have weak compression in one or more cylinders. There are a miriad of things that can cause an engine to "miss".

You can start off by changing the breather filter and inspecting the vacumm lines and chaging out the pvc valve. If this does not cure the problem then you need to inspect the distributor cap and rotor under the cap.If this is okay then check the motor mounts and make sure the rubber cushion is not worn out or possibly just missing a bolt. The next step if none of the above help would be to put a timing light on it and set the timing. You may also want to change the fuel filter and pull a fuel pressure test on it to make sure the fuel supply is sufficient for the vehicle to operate smoothly.

Wake up people,,he said no broken mount,s sound,s like you need just a good basic tune up,,also be sure that you have not gotten any bad gas seem,s like a lot of people have been buying bad gas,,even where i live,,and my shop has been really busy with most of the complaint,s being like your,s,,try some gas additive ,,if that don't help,,you may need a good tune up,,also check your gas filter,,if it get,s a little clogged it rob,s the engine of gas ,,which causes it to act like you described,,hope this help,s you.
