Gota go to the start menu, pick items. Then chouse Sora and pick an empty space in the accescory group and then pick the thunder ring.

press start and go to items and there is special category where u can select such items which increase your ablities like magic powerMP,AP,DEFENCE etc.go to it then press X to browse items of ablities.if there is no place to equip. then choose any previously selected item and change it accorrding to your will!

and just equip
