Is it legal to have a benefit?

If the benefit (party) is to raise money for a terminal persons treatment or expenses do you have to get licenses or any kind of okay from the local government?

In NNY there are benefits held frequently. Some times at the Elks club or local fire department will help. I don't think you would need a license unless you were going to sell alcoholic beverages.

i think there is a limit, but depends on what state your in....
