I had 2 vaginal births. Yes they did hurt but I would prefer them to any unnecessary surgery any day. You forget all about the pain after you have your child. and vaginal birth does NOT stretch your vagina out.

I've had 4 babies. The first 1 hurt some more than the others, but the labor was the shortest. The last 1 the labor was the worst, but I was 20 years older and had problems from 7 months until the birth. Which, incidently was 2 weeks early. You don't really remember the labor or the pain once you hold that beautiful little person in your arms for the 1st time. The actual birth of the last 1 was so quick, I wouldn't say it hurt. It was such a relief from the labor (induced). All were vaginal without drugs or any kind of pain relief.

Giving birth vaginally is such a wonderful experience! It's great that your doc doesn't want to automatically throw you on the operating table - be glad of that! Breastfeed your children as much as you can - although with three you're probably going to need to supplement a little - use the slowest flow nipples level 1 on Doctor Brown's bottles and your babies will have little if no trouble switching back and forth between breast and bottles. Try to breastfeed all three - although not all at once... Best wishes - and don't listen to others' birth horror stories!

I've had one child by vaginal birth. Yes, it hurt. The transitional peroid of labor was harder than than the pushing stage. Once I started to push, she was out in 20 minutes.
There is a phrase called "the ring of fire", when the baby's head is crowning. That is a painful, but brief time during the actual birth.
I would rather have a vaginal birth as opposed to a c-section. The recovery time is much faster, you have no abdominal scar, less blood loss, and it is better for the baby.

am a mother and an expectant mother, did vaginal for the first two and will do the same with this so long as there are no complications and yes, it hurt. i had no epiderals and whatever they gave me for pain before (thru iv) so wore off both times. i doubt it would have done ne good ne how, not to scare you but have you looked at your parts down there? have you seen the size of a newborn, sure theyre itty bitty n cute but you have to squeeze that itty bitty cuteness out your itty bitty cuteness OUCH!
supposably tho it does not take as long to recover from a vaginal birth as it does a c-section. my little girl was early, we spent 3 wks in the hospital with her. while there i met a girl who gave birth about the same time as me by c-section. by the end of the 3 weeks i was able to get around no problems (i may of still been a bit sore) and she was still having help up from her chair and could barley walk cuz she was in so much pain.
good luck momma!! the pain really is worth it.

I had my first child c-section and my second vaginal. My son was in distress, so they rushed me in for a c-section. After 23 hours of labor and 25 minutes of pushing, I delivered my daughter vaginally. I had an epidural and the birthing process did not hurt. There was a bit of stinging after the birth, though. The c-section was very hard on me and with 3 babies on the way, you will need a lot of help if you have a c-section. It is very difficult for you to use your stomach muscles to even lift your babies after a c-section. Nursing produces on a supply and demand basis. If you nurse all 3 babies, you will produce milk to feed 3 babies. When your milk first comes in is the most important time to set the schedule for that. After a while, your body will get use to the amount of milk your babies take in and that is what you will produce. If your doctor has told you to have a vaginal birth, I would listen to him. It makes the babies fight to get out and gives them strength as well as clearing their lungs out better. Just like a butterfly, if you help it out of its cocoon, it's wings don't get the exercise they need and the wings don't form properly. Having a c-section is major surgery that will greatly hamper starting your new life with your babies.

I have 5 kids. I had 3 of them vaginal and 2 c-section. I would prefer c-section if I have more. It's easier and less pain. The viginal is alot of pain and can last hours or days compared to just mins. Yeah, c-section for sure. However be prepared to have a few days you might be alittle sore still. I have no feeling in my lower stomach still though. My scar is very light. Baby was fine either way. Make sure they know you want to be awake and not asleep as 1 csection i was awake and 1 asleep. If i was having multiples I would want them c-section and good luck. But, remeber one thing having multiple either way is a hard road as they normally have longer stays and more problems either way. One of mine was on time the other -section was born at 7 months and it still bring tears to me as I saw a 2pound baby and she had problems. She is good now though and 12.5 pounds at 8 months. All my kids were okay.

I had one vaginal birth and am expecting to have another one in October. Even with the medication, the contractions were mildly uncomfortable, and the baby's head is a pain to push out, but it's not too bad.

I have had both the C-Section was not by choice but trust me they are not all they are cracked up to be so dont even think of having one unless it is neccessary as for no pain with an epidural umm yeah right that thing goes in your back and you think there's no pain lol I dont want to put you off either but go with vaginal delivery if you can. You recover alot faster.

i had 3 c-sections, but my daughter just gave birth vaginally. vaginal has a lot less recovery time, and she did great! (thankfully)
my 3 were because my boys were too big for me to deliver and i would not dilate, my daughter was breach (laying sideways) so i couldn't have her.
my advice to my daughter was just to try her best to relax and know that yes, it is painful, but it is SO worth it in the end. i did it 2 more times, and most people have more than 1 it'll be alright.
listen to the doctors and nurses they tell you everything to do and tell you everything that's going on too!! remember to listen and breath and by breath, don't hold your breath (a lot of people try this, and it's not easy to remember).!!!
take care!!!!!
