Dont know what kind of music your into hard to answer that for you. But I myself like, Systemofadown,Coldplay,Nickelback, and so forth. I mostly like rock but like country also.I pretty much give all music a chance worth listoning to first before I judge if I like it or not.So pretty much all I can say is liston to some if you like it get it. Its not really based on what other people like or think you should get .What we like may not be what you like.

well it'd kinda help if you told us what type of music you like. and what CDs you have and if there is any artists/bands that you like.
personally i'm a rock/alt/punk person. go out and buy some green day, maybe dookie, nimrod and American Idiot to get a taste of there different sounds over the years. (i like both old and new) then i'd suggest to get the bravery self-titled album i really like it but it's a bit different rock. some system of a down is nice to have around when you need some harder rock/kinda metal.
then i'd get the red hot chili peppers "staduim arcadium" it's a good double-CD...... and i'd also get the new three days grace "one-x" and AFI's new cd "december underground"..... i still need to get those but the ratings are awesome and i love the singles that they play on the radio... can't wait to buy them!!
target is a good place to buy CDs, usually cheaper than circuit city but look online at prices.
then again, you could also listen to the radio like i do half the time. hope you like rock music cause otherwise this won't help you much.

The new Fort Minor Cd is really awesome if you like Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park. If you want to hear some crazy nontraditional music I would suggest Infected Mushrooms. They come from a genre called psycedelic trance which is kinda different but awesome in its own right.

Get a CD that bears interest over a 36 month period. This will force you to keep it for the future.

Now Volumes, or Totally Hits. They always have the best songs obviously. Unless you like country, then go buy the Walk the Line soundtrack. It's awesome.

im a guy who likes rap. So i recamend T.I , King thats a kick *** cd so go get that. Worth every penny.
