Hopefully this is just for research, and not because you have a baby diagnosed with it. If it is for a baby, I'm so sorry!

Do a search under trisomy 13 and human cyclops. I hope no one in your family gave birth to such a child. I saw a picture of a fetus of one once, the child was still-born - a mutant resulting from above ground nuclear testing at the Semipalatinsk nuclear test sire in the former USSR (now in Kazakhstan.)

It is a chromosomal defect characterized by the presence of one or more than the normal number of chromosomes. In humans the trisomic Cell contains 47 chromosomes.
Trisomy 13 is a congenital condition caused by the presence of an extra chromosome in the D group, predominantly chromosomes 13. Most infants with this condition, do not survive beyond 6 months

Check out the website:
www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001660.htm. The information is comprehensive and gives explanation of the fancy terminology. Hopefully this isn't for anyone close to you, because this is a severe and often extremely life-limiting disorder.
