why cockroachs r so disgusting and dirty?and why everybody in the world scare of the cockroachs?

im 21 y old boy and i scare nothing in the world but im sure ill die if i find a cockroach on my body!!or even under my bed!why these creatures r so crepy and disgusting?

As a bug, they don't gross me out at all.

When I worked in the food industry. When I found them in flour and stuff like that, it was alittle gross.

Now, you want to talk about a bug that makes my skin crawl - SILVERFISH! ICK!

Once, for a biology course, I had to dissect a cockroach. We anesthetized it by holding it under running water. At first mine tried to escape by running up my arm, but I recaptured it and eventually it succumbed.

There was another time I was staying in a youth hostel in Louisiana that had so many cockroaches in our room, that anything we wanted to keep untouched by cockroaches (like a toothbrush) we had to balance it on top of a tin can in a pan of water.

Cockroachs usually thrive in filthy conditions. They've been on the planet for over 220 million years. Got to give them an "A" for survivability.

Cockroaches are disgusting to us for one simple reason: they never seem to die! We're just so envious of their apparent immortality that we spend all of our time hating and hunting them. Learn to love the roach!

Cockroaches are awesome.
I've considered having one as a pet.

However, if I ever do find one in my house, uninvited, that means I must not have been cleaning much lately. :/
