I am so nice to everyone i meet and i am wondering when people will do nice things for me. They have just taken advantage of me.
When will god pay me back for all the good deeds?

In the garagema.

Seriously, if you look for something incontrovertable, you may not see it.

It could come in different forms, like finding a $20 in a jacket, or getting a super parking space with time on the meter, or winning $10 in a beauty contest (OK, that's a Monopoly card).

The bigger problem is God does not deal in karma. That is part of another religion. Your true reward awaits in heaven.

Karma is a concept of Sikhism, Buddhism, and Hinduism, not Christianity. Ergo, god probably doesn't necessarily believe in Karma. Anyhoo...

If you believe in Karma, then you should recognize that it is not the fast-acting Karma you see on tv. Karma collects its toll when opportunity presents itself. Just because the results aren't immediate, that doesn't mean Karma won't take care of it. It will, eventually, and sometimes with a vengence!

If you believe in Karma AND you believe in reincarnation, "karmic payback" doesn't even necessarily have to happen during your current lifetime.

When you do a good deed, you should revel in the performance of the good deed -in, and of itself. Good deeds aren't built on a "what do I get out of it?" philosophy, they are built out of a sense of humanity as well as kindness and, sometimes, personal sacrifice - and the sense of accomplishment you get from giving to those less fortunate.

Also, depending on the situation, you should remember that "no good deed goes unpunished". Sometimes Karma can throw you a curveball just because you're being a push-over. Don't let that happen. Remember, you cannot help others, until you have fully helped yourself. Meaning: you're no good to anyone if you're a wreck, don't have your act together, or are being a push-over.

...Just some food for thought.

God sees everything - straight into your heart. don't be discouraged and eventually hardened in your heart. keep on in this area and you will be blessed. see, the thing is that you may be getting paid back already in things that money can't buy. wisdom, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and love are examples of these things and most people don't have the slightest idea how to get them. they do everything they think to do or look everywhere but God to find them. you might have any or many of these blessings you can't buy or find on your own. that's payback, if you ask me, because all of the things are only available to you from the Lord. but i know He can pay you back with the same blessings you've given, too. listen, God knows what you do, He sees the heart behind it and you will be given greater measure payback because even though "karma" is not in the bible, it's principle still stands. it's just a matter of when - which is usually in His timetable. ask for patience. God is real. He is fair. but He is soveriegn of our schedules, which isn't always convienient. He loves you - a whole lot. while you're at it, check out www.receivethetruth.com

Karma isn't tit for tat. Individual "good" things that you do aren't "rewarded" by similar good things happening to you. Karma works in generalities. There is no direct association between what you give and what you receive. Most people don't relate the good things that happen to them with the good things they've done for others because they don't appear to be related. But they are.

I read your profile. According to it, you have a very good life. Your good life could very well be due to the good you've done for others. Perhaps people do take advantage of you. So what? According to you, you still have a good life. Good things that happen to other people don't hurt you unless you stew over it and get jealous.

Good things happen to good people, unless the motive for doing the good things is selfish. In general, if you are good to people, good people a good to you. Unfortunately, many people are not good people and will take advantage. Don't worry about whether someone is a good person before you decide to do a good deed. Just do it, and feel good about yourself. The personal satisfaction of simply being a good person is reward enough. It give you solice. Those good people around you also know your heart and appreciate you (so long as you are not selfish in your conduct).

Hi I know the feeling I'm the same way.You must be from the Midwest.I now live in the state of Utah, people are different here. Not as nice.Don't get me wrong I truly do love living here and I work in the customer service business,I just love people.I help those who are not as fortunate,it doesn't need to be about money either. You are a good kind person, people will see that in you,I mean that's just the way we are.And they will bless you back.Karma is a strange thing you know what comes around goes around.Hang in there,Hope this makes you feel better about yourself, just be yourself and it will come.

Isn't Karma what ran over your Dogma?

Sorry. It wasn't said yet, so I had to be the first!

Actually, you shouldn't ever expect your karma to come back to you. Don't be a nice person to only rec something in return. You should do nice things, just out of the kindness of your heart. Karma is an invisible thing. It comes to you in different forms.

Not to be negative - but God will pay you for your good deeds just as soon as you pay Him for sending His only son to Die for you that all may have a chance of eternal life. Just how much to you think eternal life cost? The death of a first born sinless man - Jesus. Man what a cost.

In other words - you could do good work for a billion years to earn your eternal life and it still would not be enough. But in doing good - God will reward you.

Buddist point of view...u have many past lives and will have many future lives....therefore....those things u do in this life will have effect for the future lives....and the things u did in ur past lives is having its effect on u now....or in the future as tyme goes by u will see that it is being paid....nothing is every seen clearly...like u give candy to a little kid on the streets and turns out nothing bad or nothing goes wrong in the plan of ur day.....that can be karma too

You have but to look for the Karmic balance to see it; the universe does not care if you do well or poorly. Neither will the universe prevent you from having a good time or doing well. Visualize the highest, then attain it for yourself - never allow the negative to rule your life - because you will get what you expect, and only that - so expect better while having no expectations whatever.
