Scrape off as much as you can and remove it. Place a brown paper bag (grocery sack) and use a hot iron and hold it until it is thoroughly heated. Lift UP on the bag so you won't smear it again. You may need to do this a couple of times to get it all. Make sure to use a clean spot on the bag the 2nd time and tear off the used part If you have used other cleaners on it, it may not work. This works for carpet also.

Wax is one thing you may never get all the way out. You might try taking a hair dryer and melt the wax the best you can and dab it up with a cotton cloth. Or take a white face cloth and put it over the wax and gently use a warm iron on it and it should suck up the wax into the face cloth. There may be some products sold at the autoparts stores that will help also. Good Luck with it.

a few years ago when I worked for a commercial cleaning company cleaning carpets we had someone bring a car in with wax melted into the floor carpet not the seat and my boss had me cover the area with paper towel and the use an Iron to heat the wax up and then it soaked into the paper towel I did that until I couldn't get anymore wax out and then he had me use one of the cleaning products we use on home carpets called De-Solv-All to break down the rest and then used the carpet machine to remove the rest

Try heating it up with a hair dryer and dabbing with a paper towel. You can also get wax remover from a candle making company, but I'm not sure if that would work for crayon (it's made for candle wax).

Crayons won't come out!! I guarantee this. You already know it's the dye that won't come out. Seat covers might not be a bad idea. I am a contract cleaner...have been for twenty years....if all else fails find a theme you like and get covers, there are great themes out there for kids! Don't try Goo-Gone, it'll only smear the color around more. And ice cubes are for sticky SURFACE dirt. This is obviously right in the seat. Happy shopping!

Don't know about car seats, but I have a laundering book & this is what it says about clothes. Up to you.
For crayon, lipstick, chapstick
Spray some WD-40, wait about 10 minutes, work in undiluted dishwashing soap & launder as usual. Works well on everything but silk.
Maybe you could adjust instructions for your situation.

Did you try rubbing an ice cube over the area? I think it helps harden the wax and allows you to peel it off.

you should call the car's manufacturer for suggestions. plus you
can go on-line and research hints of heloise as she has many great ideas for removing some of the worst stains.another idea, wet the spot and cover it with baking soda.sometimes the baking soda will absorb the stain. vacuum up.

Use "Goo Gone", it won't hurt your paint either.
