Your caps lock button is on (turn it off, learn some typeing skills) and don't ask dumb questions for attention.

I am presuming that you are a guy and your friend is a guy.

If the two of them have a serious chance of going out -- leave it alone. I've seen real friendships destroyed by things like that.

If your friend is a girl, then I would only make a pass if I thought the guy was actually gay and she ought to know. I would never make the pass just for sex.

If you are female and she is female and he is male -- why are you in this list?

Regards,

Reyn

Seriously I don't care how old or young you are, its never worth it. Don't do it, let things pan out on their own, if your best gal pal means anything to you don't do it. Trust me I've been there only it was my best friends prospective g/f...its been 5 years and he still doesnt speak to me...and they have been together that long too....so its a lose/lose situation.

Discussing how you feel about this 'boy' with your 'best friend' would be the RIGHT thing to do.
If you value your friendship at all, make SURE that she knows how you feel. Who knows, maybe HE's not interested in HER at all, maybe he's interested in YOU.

if you have to ask, then you already know the answer. it is wrong to screw over a friend, especially your best friend. you know that, you know you'd be mad as hell if he/she did that to you, so why do that to him/her?
i think you may have come here to get validated, to feel okay about yourself wanting your best friend's man. and it's okay to be attracted to your best friend's guy-but please don't cross that line!! if they break-up, or if they never get together, then and only then should you make that pass. and that is after you make sure that it is okay with your best friend to do so.

In a word, YES!

You've got to show a little restraint to honour your best friend. Otherwise, you won't be (best) friends anymore.

No I don't think so. When I decided to "go for" my now boyfriend of 4 years one of my friends said she thought he was a hottie too, so we went for him, he picked me (...it was meant to be...)
