The radio, light etc come on but the car won't start. Could it be the starter? The battery cables are tight and in good condition.

I would try the starter. Does it turn over or does it just click?

my guess would be if u just replaced the battery it could be the alternator, it only takes a few volts for the lights to come on, if it clicks when u turn it over then the starter is fine

It could be. There is a way to check it by using a screwdriver and shorting it, but I wouldn't recommend it. Does the car at Least click when you turn the key, and if so does the Instrument panel dim when it does.

check your ignition system, engine computer management system, and your fuel system. check your fuel level maybe somebody is siphoning fuel out of your tank due to high gasoline prices. it happened to me 2 weeks ago.

it can be a bad cable installation.. check all fuses and the cables... if it does not work check with the mechanic..
