Firewire is different from USB. If your computer has an empty slot, you can buy a Firewire card and get it installed into your computer.

Then you could plug your video camera into the back of your computer.

Best Buy, CompUSA or other computer service stores could sell you the card and install it for you.

I doubt you will get extra advantageous than one or 2 those that very own a working laptop or pc that fits your specs. rather, why do no longer you purely verify newegg your self employing the link in my source? I narrowed down the outcomes slightly for you. IMO, the 0.33 one down -- the ASUS K50 -- looks like a winner to me; the video card is a lot extra helpful than the others in this fee element. purely grievance that I easily have is that it has a 32-bit Vista, so which you will purely be getting 3.25GB or so out of the 4GB RAM it is put in. no longer a great deal for the fee you would be getting it for nonetheless, and additionally you will constantly deploy a sixty 4-bit OS your self (like Win 7) interior the destiny to get the excellent 4GB.

two completely different technologies - they are competition, so you will not find a crossover.....

I just saw some people claiming that firewire is faster than USB - it is faster than USB 1.0, but slower than USB 2.0
