I feel like if you have wheels, you should be able to scoot across concrete pretty quick. And if you're handicapped because you're fat, then shouldn't you get the exercise?

I'm not trying to be mean, just understand.

Well, in the hope that this is a serious question, I'll give you a serious answer. Not all handicapped individuals are in a wheelchair. In fact, the majority of those who need to use a handicapped zone are NOT in a wheelchair but need to use a cane or walker. Walking any distance with severe arthritis, for example, is not fun and consequently the need for handicapped parking close to the store.

Not all handicapped people have "wheels" or excess weight. Some have severe breathing problems where they can't walk 10 feet without resting. Some have back problems that limits their walking. I think if you're trying to understand, then maybe you should pick up some literature from the local chapters of various charities in your area.

For starters, being fat isn't a handicap, although there are plenty of people who think it is- and I get tired of seeing them park in handicapped spots without the sticker or plates. Second, I realize the spots are up front so they can get in and out easier...and I am OK with that...if they are legitimately disabled.

BUT... what really cranks me off is that there are people who HAVE handicapped plates and stickers, but DON'T park in the handicapped spots! I don't understand why! They get the best spots in the parking lot, and they don't use them. That's one less spot that I have to park in. What is it? Do they not want to be looked on as handicapped? If so, then why get the #$@%& sticker or plates? AAAGHH.

What about the person on crutches, breathing problems,
weaknesses in lower extremities, bad backs. Not all handicapped people are in wheel chairs or are fat as you have suggested. These people are trying to have as normal a life as possible. Most things that you are capable of doing we take for grantite until we have been physically or mentally affected.

Hey there! Thanks for answering my question about human wrongness. I'm a psychology major and it's one of my homework questions.....has nothing to do with me. Sorry I upset you so much. But to answer your question, not all handicaps require a wheelchair. Enjoy your week :-)

lol good point. But a lot of old people are handi-capped and they can't exert that much energy without hurting themselves or something.
