I am a law student. It takes a LOT of hard work to become a lawyer (7 years of college total). I recommend that you should plan on going to college 6 to 8 years! You can make lots of money as a CPA, if you enjoy business and accounting. You can also make a fair amount as an Engineer. Those are two careers outside of law and medicine. Nursing is in high demand as well and pays GREAT. You may wish to do that as well (and it only takes 4 years).

Here's the reality: The high-paying jobs are high-paying BECAUSE they take a long time to train new students, whether it's law, business, engineering, or medical. The flip side: Anyone can be taught rather quickly how to flip burgers. And so, it doesn't pay that much.
BTW, 10 years is not forever, although it sure seemed like it when I was in high school. Learn what you can, find something interesting, and don't make life so complicated.
... And this too, shall pass...

10 years to be a lawyer? What kind of school are you going to? I've completed 4 years of college to get my BA and it's only taking me 3 years to complete my JD to be a lawyer.
Keep your grades and GPA really high and get involved in a lot of school clubs and volunteering. That way once you do decide what you want to do (something that makes you happy) you'll have the doors wide open and you won't be limited.

if i was u i would ask myself, what to i want to be? what o i like ? because at the end u will be at ur job doing whatever you are doing, a nd if u hate it u would struggle, but if u love it u'll enjoy life, money isn't everything in life, you may be fliping hamburgers, leading a lovely life, with a wife, modern house and spend time with ur kids, on the other ha nd u may be a millionare, and not enjoy it, and be leading a misrable life, not stable, problems with ur wife, devorce, lost kidz, and plus u might not have time to enjoy spe ndding ur money on anything.
so think about it and ask ur self "who do i want to be? what do i like to do?" eventually it will come to u. at ur age u might be saying i wann a become an actor, or a surgent, but beliv e me you'll change ur mind when u reach the last years f high school good luck

always in life, your patience will achieve more than your force, but the big money from my own perspective is in:
1. Economics, business management and marketing,it is easy to study and not monotonous to carry out.as a manager of a company all departments from engineering, manufacturing, sales, etc will be operating under your control and supervision,u'll be the boss and they are ur boys.
all the best
