really hinges on whether they stop taping it before smackdown. ECW is made by the fans who are by definition, rabid. There isnt that spit and sawdust feel at the moment, the arenas are too big meaning that casual fans get in and cheer for john bloody cena who is everything ECW isnt.
Vince has kept the booking under his control (he is spending more time on ECW thganhe is on Raw at the moment.) This means Heyman who lives and breathes ECW is muscled out of the creative process.
So yes at the moment it is the third show (really it is just velocity with a few more chair shots)

Vince McMahon has taken over ECW. No more ECW rules! Paul Heyman is no longer doing creative.
ECW will just be a spill over for anything Vince wants to try.

I think it will be pretty much the same because you often see matches between both unit. The only difference is that ECW is more voilent and I also think that Mark Henry should be on that show.

ecw will never be like the old one because if it was it would be like vince saying his wwe is not as good.

ECW is nothin but EXTREMLY CRAPY WRESTLING ... I sure ECW woundnt last for 1 year ... The only reason ECW is different is becuse its soo Extreme,CRAPY and SHitty ... Thats my opinion ...
