Well from the theological point of view the bible does say that money solves all problems(excluding salvation of course)..And that the blessings of the lord make a man rich.I find this relative as I believe that God created man and the earth.Jesus was not poor Judas Iscariot was his treasurer as well as disciple, and you don't need a treasurer if your broke.Solomon was the richest man known to mankind, so check the scripture "proverbs and the new testament" before you start claiming my statement to be inaccurate they are not.
Bill Gates is the richest man on earth at this time and no he did not say he is unhappy, actually he said he is going to leave 5% of his money (52 billion dollars at this time) to his family and donate the other 95% to help others primarily with aids and other diseases ramped in 3rd world countries. Also Warren Buffet the 2cnd richest American just donated 37 million to the Gates foundation and yes he claims to be happy as well.
It is my supposition that riches alone do not make one happy, however the security it provides for one, coupled with the ability to help others at will where one chooses certainly is a good recipe for substantive happiness. Those attributes in concert with people that love you, and you can love in return, and self satisfaction and sense of worth, overall equate to happiness.
Money itself does not make one happy, what you can do for yourself and others with it does, because as I started with "money solves all problems" and no problems is happiness.
For those that think money will not aid in happiness, send me yours, and when I have enough I will let you know how much happier I am with what I can do with it for others and myself.Money is not evil, the biblical quote is "Money is the root of all evil" notice it does not say money is evil, its what one does with it that makes the difference between happy or not.

No you are not happy just because you are wealthy. The more money you have,The more you will want and that is just human nature. Some think that money can buy love but it cannot buy true love which is one part of being happy.Stress never goes away just because you are wealthy which is another key factor of being happy.Money does not solve stress issues such as raising a family, planning or worrying about a spouse or another family members health. There are several other things but not enough time to go into detail.

I have seen what money does to folks and to be honest I would rather be middle class , then I would be rich. Being rich dosent make a person happy, if it does it is only for a bit. All I want is a comfortable lifestyle...

I wouldn't be happy. Bill Gates is the richest man on earth and he says that he isn't happy. I've seen the evil side of money and the bad stuff it does to people. People go to great lengths to get money, even destroy the people they love. Plus, the more money some people have, the more money they want. So they are never happy.

Listen, here's the real truth about this money and happiness thing. Ready....ITS TRUE. Yes, but we always say no so we don't get so many other people trying to become rich. They'd just spoil it for the few of us who know how to enjoy it.
If anyone asks, just tell them I said no like I'm supposed to.

No. The only thing money buys you is the freedom to do things you want to do or obtain things. Happiness comes from having good health, strong family relationships and contentment with your station in life.

I realize that wealth is a tremendous burden, but someone has to do it. So, I'll sacrifice myself and accept the wealth.
