If I am pregnant, I am on my 7th week now. When I first got pregnant with my first child, I also had negative pregnancy tests (both the urine and blood) and found out about it thru ultrasound on my fifth month. Back then, I thought the false negative results were due to technical errors..but now that I feel like I'm pregnant again, I have gotten the same results...negative for both tests. Are there anyone out there who have experienced this too? Are anyone of you out there who had negative pregnancy tests and still be pregnant? I'm the type who doesn't show the normal symptoms (I was never nauseous nor have I vomited in my first pregnancy), so I can't tell. I don't know what test to trust anymore. I'd appreciate any insights and opinions. Thanks!! (And by the way, my husband and I are trying to conceive too...so we're really hoping that I'm pregnant.)

my mom had the same issue it is rare but has been documented that some women never produce enough pregnancy hormone to show positive on blood or urine tests

my mom also found out at 5 months from a pelvic exam and pregnancy was confirmed with ultrasound... blood test still showed negetive

Well I had both negative test results and assumed I was not pregnant but now less than a month later took a test and am positive. I could have sworn I was pregnant as well but I truly believe tests both urine and blood can be false. My mother who is a physician says they are highly accurate maybe you fall in that 1 %

Yes it is possible. I have a similar problem. When I'm not pregnant I come up with false positives and when I am I come up with negatives. The way it was explained to me is the your body can produce some HG hormone and that is how the test works. Sometimes you don't create it and sometimes you create too much. so it is very possible that the tests don't work. Also some meds can throw the tests off also

well if you had negative results when you had your first child but found out that you were pregnant, then the results could be a mistake once again! Hope all goes as planned and Good Luck!!

Yes it is very possible no pregnacy test is accurate. Take it easy the symtoms you're feeling could be stress. Relax for a few days or until you really start to notis things. If there is a babe and you want it, it is very important that you keep a very healthy life. Also every pregnacy is different even for the same people.

Sounds like you know your body and have experienced this before. I would talk to your doctor about what happened before and see if he/she will give you an ultrasound so that you are not driving yourself crazy over this. Best of luck...hope you are.

Definitely. ask for an ultrasound if you are worried, otherwise just act like you are pregnant until you know for sure (i.e. no smoking, drinking, taking harmful medications, etc) Good Luck!
