Do things you like, spend time with people you love. It's different for everyone, so there's nothing specific one can tell you to do to make you happy.
Of course, smiling and laughing always helps, as it increases a chemical (forgot what it is) that makes you happy (and healthier? jeez...such forgetfulness...).

Stop looking for it. You cannot find or make happiness, its a state of being, and a temporary one at that. You can only live in the moment, and experience life as it comes. So do what you need to do and live life the best that you can. Be a good person. Work hard. Throw yourself 100% into everything you do. Do all this, and joy and contentment may just sneak up on you.

Happiness is a state of mind. If you compare my life to others, you would think that I shouldn't be happy. But I have an inner feeling of contentment. Plus, if you really want a sense of happiness, watch JERRY SPRINGER and you will see just how much better off you are than some other people. To me, material things don't make you happy...it's what you feel inside. If you can look back on your life and the majority of it is good, that's what counts. Also helping others gives a good feeling inside.

Finding happiness or making happiness qualifies you knowing what makes you happy. Make a list of what has made you happy sice you were a young child up until your present life. When you are done, look over the list and see what you can do on that list now to make it relevent within your daily life.

Joy M is sort of on the right track. but God is not some magic 8 ball to make-a-wish or pray at and expect to get what you think should be coming to you. He wants every good thing for you, no question. but He prefers we have true joy, which lasts, over happiness which you can get from anything likeable at all. but happiness is temporary and is based on extraneous things and sometimes our perceptions. listen; God is real. in the Word it is clear that "human effort comes to nothing"; that He is the only source of anything good. that's why we can't make our own lasting happiness, or joy, and self-help doesn't work. no amount of money, looks, or talent will get us where we really want to be in the long run. nor will dr. phil or oprah be able to make everything okay by blowing heartfelt human reasoning and "good" advice up our empty cans. bottom line; check out www.receivethetruth.com
everything's going to be alright, sweetie. hang in there.

It is my belief that you cannot find happiness. There is no direct or secret path to fulfillment. Happiness is a daily choice we do make, however. It is not found only in people absent of problems or sad events. Rather, it is found in people, regardless of the circumstances, who have learned to make choices about how they react to the situations life presents. Happiness is more a way of life than something that happens to you,

You just answered your own question; you create your special happiness. If your happiness is dependent on someone or something else, that someone or something can be gone at any time. Others can be a part of your happiness but real happiness comes from inside you.

you don't find happiness it finds you and if you have to make happiness then you are working too hard and you need to quit. Happiness is something we gain not something you make happen. My answer is time, let it find you, it will happen when you least expect it.
