neither... they are brought up terribly. they are brought up watching the fox news network since the time they were popped out of their mothers' womb (because the government wouldnt let her have an abortion) and they grow up thinking that hate and war and religion are the most important things on earth.

I rather think it is more a case that Liberals have no ability for introspection. Liberals are primarily the youth (or time-warped hippies) who react to all issues emotionally rather than intellectually. They have no life experience from which to evaluate world issues against the way they think the world "should" be in a perfect society. Consequently, they base their opinions on idealistic stands that do not hold up under the bright light of real life.
Republicans, on the other hand, are generally not born that way. Instead, they are mature adults who have discovered that living in the real world is not supportive of the naive world view of youth. In other words, Republicans are more mature than Liberals.

They are just misunderstood, by a group called the Democrats, that is growing smaller day by day.
The majority of the country understands, Canada learned their lesson recently as well.

No they just hear snippets of a Limbaugh saying and think of it as truth. You would be amazed at the amount of people who don't know everyday issues, because it doesn't effect them directly.
