David Allen Coe

Well, I was drunk the night my Momma got out of Prison
And I went to pick her up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck,
she got runned over by a damned ol train

and I'll hang around just as long as you'll let me
I'll never leave you standing in the rain
you don't have to call me darling, darling
you never ever called me by my name....

I don't like country and western songs at all, but give me a good cowboy song and I'm a happy camper. Don McLean ("American Pie" and "Vincent") did a great selection of cowboy songs. It's called "The Western Album." That's my favorite western music.

It's kind of dead now-a-days. Try yahoo music under their vintage country station and choose for yourself.
I think they still Kareoke Patsy Cline.
