Not before the cup, and certainly NOT after their performances against Switzerland & Korea. But I will give credit to such a heavily mocked team who raised themselves against Togo, then Zidane came back with his magic against Spain & Brazil. And now having defeated Portugal, they are favourites for winning the cup.
Full credit to the players who raised their game despite all the criticism levelled at them & they have certainly made their coach Domenech proud

I think that almost everybody expected Brazil, Argentina, or Germany to be in the final.
But that's the beauty of soccer, it's full of surprises!
After France outplayed Brazil, I kinda started to see them in the final, though. I shouldn't say that because I'm an Italy fan and we are going to play against them in the final, but we must give credit to France for the way they played against Spain and Brazil. Most of them may be a little old by the standards, but they still have great players and a world class champion like Zinedine Zidane.

Before beginning the matches I thought France is one of the finalists.
The latest wining in match between France and Portugal was just a chance for France football team. Actually, Portugal was better.
By the way, I think in final match between France and Italy, if France will played like this time, they will fail.

No, no one unless they are the fans expected to see Italy & France in the Final . Many were expected to see Brazil, Argentina, Germany or England in the Final .I'm sure alot of people lost money , just like in 2002 when they have the unexpected Brazil, Germany, Korea and Turkey in the Semifinals .

Hell no! They played like poop during the early stages of the Cup. I started to think they got by on a wish and a prayer after they kept advancing after scoring 1 goal in a match. It was incredible! They've got to thank their guardian angels and Zidane because they managed to beat teams I feel played better than them throughout the Cup.

NOPE! I was pretty sure Brazil (MY TEAM) was going to whoop their little a^ne...BUT I was wrong and the French won! and now I hope ITALY wins! NOT because they beat Brazil but because I actually like Italia.

no becasue i dont think they are one of the better teams. there are many other teams that are better then them. from the start i thought the two competing were either going to be germany and portugal or italy vs brazil

No. Did not watch the games and heard they did badly at the beginning. So was not interested until Brazil got beaten.
But..........am watching today !
