you have to decide whether the guy is more important than the friendship you have with your friend. Did you like the guy to begin with. If so, why? Was it because you're friend did and you were trying to fit in? If you didn't like the guy, then what the hell are you doing? You're only causing pain to your friend, and the guy that likes you.
Write a list of pros and cons. One of what would be good and bad if you carried on seeing the guy, and one of what would happen if you and your friend made up.
Personally, I think you've already made your choice.
You chose the guy rather than your friend, when you knew she liked him.
Don't go chasing after her. Put yourself in her position. If it were you, would you like the idea of your friend going off with the guy that you've liked for aaaaaaaaages?
Didn't think so.

well, did you know she liked him when he dated you?If not, you're not to blame, if yes, you're in trouble. It's hard to say,I don't know how good friends you are,but you should deffinitely appologize and stop seeing that guy. You should wait a little until the wound is a little bit healed and then be there for her.Support here. Tell her whatever you think she'd like to hear. It's not easy beeing dumped for your best friend!

you dont want to have a boy who calls your friend a jealous cow. such things occur but you need to talk to her and square things out. never fight for a boy at your own expense cos there are like a million just waiting for you.

good mates will all ways be there for you no matter what talk to her and resolve the matter once and for all she will understand.
also don't let him be so nasty to her he could be a bit more considerate of yours and her feelings if he really likes you he will understand also.
if neither are willing to compromise then you have to decide yourself what means more to you in the long run and which is more likely to last if either.
hope this helps.

i have been through that and it hurt me a lot but me and my friend got through it we talked about everything that we liked about him and not liked about him.
but what you have got to think about is if he is worth it, more then your friend, how long have you been mates with this girl and how long have you known the guy?
