I had athritis in my hands fairly badly when I was 17... my Dr wasn't sure what the problem was at first and sent me to an orthopedic surgeon who determined that it was arthritis.. a certain type but I can't remember what it was now. Anyway, ask you Dr if you can see a specialist... whether it's an orthopedic surgeon or a pain specialist... somebody who knows arthritis... you might have to do some research to find out who in your area knows what. I also hurt my back in a flying accident and have back problems.. and I take oxycocit and oxycontin for the back pain and hand pain... not sure if you want to go that route yet... but you can also try vioxx and celebrex...

There is such a thing as juvenile arthritis. An orthopaedic can take xrays to determine if in fact you have arthritis and to what degree.
