I'm sure he just has a special bond with his grandfather. Don't push it on him, he's still a baby. Most likely, he will always have that special bond with his grandfather, it doesn't mean that he doesn't love his grandmother!

Give the kid some time. They are only 18 months old. They still have YEARS to show their love to their grandma.

A bond is not something that you can force. Maybe you could ask her to take him on outings with just the two of them. Or maybe Grandpa can ask Grandma to join them when they are doing things together...

Kids at that age will act like that.. Give it time.. People just click.. forever. Be happy it's that way.
