Henry was fouled. So I don't understand why Zidane kicked, and not Henry.

A penalty kick can be taken by any player on the field, not necessarily the one that was fouled. It's just like a free kick - anyone on the field can take it - only it's in the penalty box.

Most reliable kicker or best kicker on team takes the penalty no matter who is fouled. Zidane's feet are practically blessed so he's best bet and he's more consistent than Henry.

Its superstitious to let the same person who got fouled take the PK, he may be short of breath, angry he was fouled, you are never to let the person who got fould to take the kick, plus.. Zizou is class & quality.
