Nothing is wrong really, some women have a longer cycle. You are ovulating 14 days before your next period so if you have 40 days every time, then you know your next periods' date and from there you count 14 days backwards and get your exact ovulating date. For safer results it is best to take care 1 or 2 days before your ovulating day and 1 or 2 after.
There is another thing that you should know while ovulating and it is that your body should pass a little clear and stretchy sticky fluid. It is clear like the eggwhite and stretchy aswell. This mocus is more yellowish and creamy on regular days. You should pass a little bit only so check out when you whipe after peeing. I hope that helped.

I was told if you had even a faint pregnancy postitive test then you are pregnant. You may want to get in w/your Doc tell them you had a postitive test but now your having a period. That doesn't sound right. If it's not a big deal to get in I would do it just to figure out what is going on with your body.

my cycles are about 39 days and I ovulate at or around day 19. If you had a positive pregnancy test, you probably are/were pregnant, because they are generally pretty accurate.

Have your doctor order a quantitative HCG blood pregnancy test and a progesterone draw right away! Call NOW! If you are pregnant and have had wacky cycles these two tests - done early enough - can save your baby's life!!!

If you had a positive test then at that time you were pregnant. You really need to see if you had an early miscarriage. You should make an appointment tomorrow. If it was very light you could still be pregnant....go...run...get to the doctor!!!!

Girl, talk to your OB/GYN about this - don't ask us! That is not normal, something sounds a little off.
