umm limewire brings a lot of crap with it but if u have a good firewall you should be fine

It is more reliable than the free anti-virus software. I think it is safe from hackers since this software is not as widely-used as Norton or McAffee or Trend Micro.

limewire can also carry spyware so make sure you've got a good firewall

I think so...I have never downloaded a virus since I've had my yahoo account.
