Yes it can but really only sony certified people can do it. You need to call the sony helpline to get it repaired. It may be under warranty or it may not, because SamSung actually made the PSP screen. But it's better to ask just in case. If you bought it from a game store and got the extended warrenty they can replace your system. Good luck!

You might have to get a new one, unless Sony PSP's have something it could be repaired with. My sister dropped her Nintendo DS and the screen basically went blank, too. She called Tech Support and they said it couldn't be fixed, so she got a new one.
