I certainly hope so! Then again, it's pretty doubtful. Supply and demand ya know.

Bush leaving office has nothing to do with it. It's all about supply and demand, and refining. High demand, which is natural in the summer, coupled with a scarcity of refineries, will keep the price high. It'll probably go down somewhat after Labor Day, when demand drops, but not much. Solution? Cut back on your own use wherever you can. As for a solution for all of America? Either more refineries, alternative fuels, or ideally, a combination of both.

Do I believe gas prices? Why yes, yes I do believe them. Do I think they'll go down when Bush leaves office? Maybe, though I doubt it. If we have a congress that will allow more drilling on our own soil, the building of new refineries, and public awareness that increases gasoline efficiency then, yea the price might go down, though I doubt those things will happen. This issue isn't even funny. I am planning a move to get closer to work because I figured it up and my g/f and I spend about $600 per month on gas. Un-freaking real!!

No evidence of price gouging... puuuleeesse!

It depends who gets in the big office next.

Will you idiots please take an economics course before you post this question again? Oil hit $75 a barrel today thinks largely to the increased demand in places like China. Very simple, demand rises lead to an increase in price. I guess that's to simple for you.

Besides, high gas prices completely invalidates your sides main lie for why we went to Iraq. I thought this was a war for oil?

Being that we are not a communist nor fascist nation, Bush has no control over the price of gas.

It's $2.84 here and it bites! I'm guessing when "W" is outta office it will go back down. He has always been for the oil companies since he is an oil man himself. Disgusting! I'd say he is impeachable!
