First off, it's "structured," not "structurate." Second, there are many forms of structured finance, and the only common thing among them is their uniqueness and complexity.

One of the simplest structured instruments is a syndicated loan. A group of lenders band together to fund a single (usually large) loan; the resulting loan contract has a lot of small print. Another relatively simple structure is securitization (a bank may sell bonds backed by its mortgage portfolio, car loan portfolio, or credit card receivables).
