Totally. When I was young, waiting and saving for whatever thing I was buying made "it" seem a lot cooler and important than it actually turned out to be. This can still happen at any age, but to avoid it, don't hype the "it".

I would have to agree. Especially when shopping online from another country and you get the bill and all the extra charges that go with it. Then you get the thing and it's not as great as you thought it would be. Bet the same goes for huge purchases like houses.
