ok my period is supposed to be on the 20th but last month only bled a couple of days. and that isn't normal for me Yesterday i bled like a normal period but it is suppopsed to be on the 20th remember. Then today i went to change my tampon and there was nothing on it. So what just happened why did i bleed for like one day in the middle of the month. I know there is no way i could be pregnant because i haven't had sex ever. And i told my mom and she said it was because i was a teen ( i am 14 and i have had my period since i was 12) but i want a little more reason to why this happened. thanks to all who answer.

This is normal. Some girls have regular periods that are very predictable from the time they start, but others will have one then have another one 12 days later then not have one for a couple of months. After a few years of this, it will be more regular. We all go through it so its ok!

Your mom is right sweetie you are definetely still young and it can take a few years for your body to fully adjust and some women find that if their periods continue to stay irregular they go on birth control to maintain a steady lighter period. You are young and your period can be a frustrating thing to deal with but in the end you will be proud to be a woman! Stay strong girl!
Also... if you are not eating properly or your body is growing you may skip a period or have an irregualr one like you did! Your body is still growing and maturing take a daily vitamin and eat healthy! Good luck!

okay kiddo.....your body is still getting it together. And your body and your mom's bodies are getting in sync....and any other females who menstruate who live in your house....or who you spend a TON of time with. I bet your mom's cycle is changing too. Mine is with my daughters...and her best friend...and her best friends mom. We spend so much time together that all of our bodies are getting in sync with each other. we all start about one day apart........hope this helps.
