An embryo has a mother and a father, so why are the mothers always responsible for choices and decisions, where are the proud fathers?

Men are always complaining about abortion, calling women murderers who choose abortion, are the fathers of embroys murderers too?

Why won't men step up for their unborn, don't men keep up with their own sperm, their own embroys, why won't fathers be responsible for their own children?

I don't see MrTruth, a typical conservative man, who criticizes women for taking on the responsibilities of men like him, guess he's to sorry to speak out.

Looking for your sperm count MrTruth?

Good point, but the real issue here is not why women are blamed for murder, but why anyone needs to be blamed when in reality, no one was murdered.

good question. I think allot of it has to do with the fact that if a man gets a woman pregnant and she wants an abortion and the man does not, his point of view does not matter legally. There have been many court cases in which the man sued to stop an abortion. I have yet to see one case where the man won. I also agree that men need to take responsibility for their actions. There are way too many children out there without a father. I am not for or against abortion. I feel there are circumstances where it is necessary, but, I also feel that life is precious.

well, you just opened a can of worms.

Abortion is legal because people say it is not a baby. It can not have a mother and father. According to law, it is a collection of cells, not a human life.

According to law, men have no 'choice' in the matter. If a woman wants an abortion, the man can not stop her. If the woman does not want an abortion, the man can not make her get one.

I would like to know, why if it is a woman's CHOICE to let the collection of cells turn into a baby, why a man should be responsible for baby. It is hypocritical of the law to FORCE the man to have anything to do with the baby, since he did not create a baby, he created a collection of cells, and the woman created the baby by turning those cells into one.

For the record, I am against abortion. I am just pointing out the hypocracy of the "prochoice" argument.

Because the baby is in the woman's body, not the mans. Many times men attempt to influence the mother of his baby, either by suggesting abortion or suggesting carrying the child. Neither works because no one can tell someone else what to do with their body.

The only way men can have a say is to protect themselves from creating a child. Since they have no power to dictate what someone else does, they are not murderers of unborn children unless they're the doctor doing the aborting. The woman is the one who allows the procedure to be done.

The pro life movement takes the responsibility away from men. They have no choice in the matter.
And your implication that abortion is murder is wrong. God created abortion in the form of miscarriage. He is a loving and all powerful God. If you choose to have an abortion, he can simply take the soul of the aborted fetus and give it to another person or give it back to you in a future child. That is what a loving God would do. So those who tell you that abortion is wrong are lying, either that or they think that God is a murderer.

Men have no rights when it comes to abortion. It is really kind of crazy. If a woman wants an abortion and the man doesn't, the woman gets her way. If a woman wants the kid and the man doesn't, he still gets the kid. I'm not justifying dead beat dads, but rather showing the double standard on children. The woman will always get her way, and the man has no say.

Honey, you've raised a valid point. Unfortunately, it's always the woman's fault. She didn't make that baby by herself, but yet she's damned no matter what decision she makes. However, there are some men that WILL step up and do the right thing. Every woman needs to know that her body is her temple, and, in the long run, has the final say so.

I see your point here. The man is at fault for impregnating the woman in the first place. However, the woman is also at fault for having sex and running the risk of pregnancy (of course, with the exception of rape where the never gave consent). Upon impregnation, it is the woman's decision as to whether or not she is going to abort her baby. She has the only say-so in the situation... the man does not. He can only offer his opinion. So from that point, it is the woman's choice as to whether she wants to kill her baby or birth it. Hence, why the woman usually shoulders all the blame.

This is a fact that is quite often overlooked. Some on this site claim that women "need to keep their legs closed," failing to realize that it takes a woman AND a man to make a baby. It is just easier for them to hate and generalize and lay the problem on someone else's shoulders rather than to give the subject some deep thought.

I totally agree with you.
The problem is that the laws are written (for good or bad) to give the woman total control over her body.
The Dad cannot make a woman have an abortion, he also cannot force her to carry a child she does not want.

So-- the woman, at this point, carries the blame or the kudos.
