You're a professional athelete, and using steroids is cheating because...?

I post this in the baseball section 'cause I started the train of thought here but I'm asking the question as it pertains to Professional Atheletes. The ones who are already signed and playing for money. Not aspiring amatuers! Not high school or college phenoms. Paid professionals!! Whose job it is to sacrifice their bodies to their sport for $$$$.
(amateur's play for love, pros play for money, not wrong or right, moral or immoral, just the facts of life)

Cheating means disobeying the rules to gain an unfair advantage. The rules say you can't take steroids. That's why it's cheating.

Because it gives the player an unfair advantage over other players. Then why doesn't everyone take steroids? Because they can be harmful to your health if used improperly. Alrighty then, the team doctor could regulate and prescribe safe doses for the players,right? Wrong. Some of these jocks are actually addicted to steroids. It would be like giving a pound of cocain to a junkie and telling him he can have one snort per day. You want results. You get results. You like the results. You want more results. Visiualize this: I take steroids so I can play better sports so I can make more money so I can buy more steroids so I can play better sports so I can.......

It's cheating because others use hard work and skills to get proficient and more powerful instead of taking illegal substances.

Are you really asking if pro athletes deserve to take steroids because people expect them to perform and entertain them? And that they should sacrifice their lives to these drugs since they are paid to perform?

If this is really your question, I'd still say no - no one's life is worth that much. Look at Lyle Alzado, and others who are dead from sterioids - I bet if they had the chance to re-choose, they would opt to be less powerful but still alive.

who cares if someone juices it juicing it does not give the ability to perform better if someone whom has never been in sports juices and gets huge does not mean he can shoot a basketball or hit a homerun or catch a touchdown pass juicing gets one hella big and personally i have friends who do it and they get too big and slow
