Instead of me going to a body shop, i was wondering if anyone knew, if there was a cheap way for me to get it out myself. Is there something i can buy at Autozone or some thing. My fiance says that most bofy shops use some kind of liquid to freeze the dent and then i guess it pops out. Someone please help. The dent is very bothersome to my brand new car.

The dent has a hard crease in it. Some idiot banged it pretty good.

GO THROUGH THE YELLOW PAGES, THERE ARE PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL SERVICES ALL OVER, THEY USE LONG METAL RODS INSERTED BEHIND THE INTERIOR PANEL OR DOOR GLASS AREA TO MESSAGE DENT OUT, UP TO ABOUT A SOFTBALL SIZE DENT, GREAT AND CHEAP.

First off, it depends on whether the dent has a hard crease in it. If it doesn't, then try this old-time fix...take a regular toilet plunger and get it wet. Then stick it on over the dent and pull. If the dent is shallow it should pop it out.

If the dent has a crease in it, then it gets a little harder but not impossible. If you can get in behind the dent somehow, perhaps by removing a door panel, etc (depending again on where the dent is), then take a hard rubber mallet and give it a few firm raps from the inside...this may be enough to pop it out. Don't use too much force though.

Hope this helped.

Provided the dent is small; e.g., hail dent or door ding, it can sometimes be removed by using a suction tool sold at Pep-Boys. Cost of the tool is around $15.00 and requires no drilling of holes into the car's body. If you have a white car, some say you can put ice on a small dent and then heat the spot with hair dryer. I had some luck with the suction tool, but no luck with the ice/heat. Good luck, RJ

Above are very good answers. As stated the Crease makes it a little harder. I have used a Regular Toilet Plunger. Dip it in water to provided a better seal. Push it into the deepest part of your dent until it suctions and jerk! It not going to be perfect with that darn Crease, but, may look better. Above is mentioned how to come from behind to remove your crease best you can.

Usually when a door gets damaged, it's best to get a new door and have it sprayed up. The guy painting it will take out the glass, mirror, winder etc. When the new door is painted, he puts them back on. Don't know the cost but it's the best thing to do if the dents are serious.

if the dent is as if someone just pushed in the spot by hand - i have done it before on my car. i used a glass holder thing for moving sheets of glass. can get them at a hardware store/home improvement store. otherwise go to a place like NAPA, Auto Zone, etc. they will carry a dent removal kit like u mentioned.

Sometimes the dent can be pulled out with a large suction cup. You can find suction cups for this purpose in the paint section of your auto parts store.

i didn't know how to email you. you answered my question regarding the 2006 altimas. it's only the special editions. if you didn't get a letter you should go to your dealer and tell them that and have them do an "oil consumption test". that's what i did during my lunch hour. i asked about the squeaky breaks and they said it's the dirt that gets in the wheels. they recommended that when i get my car washed to ask the guys to wash out the wheels as much as possible. here's my email if you want to talk more about our altima issues: kkarina7@yahoo.com
