Earth's oil circulating system is quit a lot like man's lymphatic system .. oil circulates: a deer gets hit and lays on the road side till it rots,, Take a close look afterward and you will see an oily spot where it fell. After a while that oil spot will go away, the oils slowly seep into the soil where it slowly goes thru various sand and shell layers joins and seperates from many other substances till it "settles" into a huge basin of other oil.. We tap into the veins or basins of oil and extract it for burning.. It is "made" by simple extraction process from high oil content vegitation, and can be senthesized from basic chemicals. The economy of the varrying processes is what determins which process is used and how often.. Hydrogen can be extracted from water ,, but the catalyst is very expensive and the process requires more energy than it makes. If you use wind or hydro to generate the energy to extract hydrogen, it costs nothing to can all the hydrogen it would take to run every truck and car on earth, and the exhaust from the entire process is water vapor, which would cool the earth and cause an increase in rainfall world wide. why don't we do that?? Rich industrialists refuse to let go of the wind generating technology and they have a political system that refuses to allow people to generate hydroelectric or wind energy on thier own. No person or group can individually get permission to build a hydroelectric generating facility..Even small private lakes are so discouraged that it is nearly impossible to build your own lake. He who controls the water, owns the desert..
