The best things in life AREN'T free. Go to your local library, or used book store. You can study for years, and you still won't know all of it! But it's best to buy your books so you can always referance them later!

How long have you got? ;) Learning is for life, but if you break it down and perhaps concentrate on one system first, you should be able to quickly understand others later. If your basis understanding is e.g. western astrology you are able to draw parallels and see the differences more clearly when you introduce other systems.
A good starting point is the planets, signs, aspects and perhaps begin with your own chart. After you have covered the basics you could start looking at friends and family's charts to get honest feedback.
You might have to invest in books which are not free, but if you are lucky you can probably get some second hand. There's lots of helpful people out there, but the professionals make a living out of this and are less likely to tell you everything they know for free ;)

I would say it would be hard to really learn astrology on line for free. You could take an online course offered by the American Federation of Astrology but it costs about 400 to 500.
To really learn it takes many years and there is not enough advanced information on line to learn from. Most of what is on line is just basic beginner stuff. After you learn the basics, the signs, the meanings the planets, the houses and their meanings, you have to learn how to calculate charts, then aspects, and their meanings and progressions, and transits. this takes a long time and much complicated study.
If you are truly interested start out by buying a couple of beginning books that give the meanings of the signs and planets, the houses, and has the basics of chart castings and aspects. then slowly graduate to more advanced books.

man, you're so eager to learn astrology. Woooooooooooo ! It takes years to learn indian astrology. Its not easy too. You can learn indian astrology if u r able to learn by urself. and not with the help of some stupid internet site or source. I've been learning astrology (im an indian, so i learn nidian astrology) since 5/6 years and i know a very little bit. it takes moer than 20 years to learn 10% of astrology. so, just sit quiet. Everything has its price.

The internet does not have enough reliable information for these things. Your best bet is to meet with people who know a lot about them, and learn it firsthand.
