I would list it in two places:
1. The local newspaper. Look at the classified ads for apartments to get a handle on what language to use and what's important to mention.
2. List it on Craigslist.org. It's almost always free, you can put up a long description and even some pics, and a lot of people check out Craigslist.

The newspaper sucks, it costs a lot of money, and you get the kind of renters who read a paper. I also suggest Craigs List. Investing in a sign for the yard, is also a good idea if you live by people you like. Also many colleges list rental property if you are of that age bracket or near a university and it's a lot cheaper than the Newspaper. Also posting signs in businesses that you frequent works, because than you are targeting a certain population. Instead of everyone who picks up the paper.

Craigs list is the best one cuz it's FREE for anyone to search for things (appartments, cars, items, jobs, anything). On Craigslist, it's important that you click on your state first. AND, Craigslist lists in chronological order, so post every day. Roommates.com and other sites like it are ok but 99% of them make you pay to access info on the site even tho it says free profile. Also the local papers. For example the (Miami Herald if you are in the Miami area) has online classifieds. In a search engine or at ASK.COM, try a search for "Online Classifieds" with or without your local info.
For better/faster results once you post, have a digital pic of your property to post on your ad. I put links below. Do check out Miami Herald. It's not just Miami.
