George Washington because he didn't want the job and then Truman because he took responsibility for his actions, something we haven't seen in decades.

Theodore Roosevelt was the most dynamic, pro-active, results-oriented president we've ever had. He made enemies of the corrupt politicians by being a reformer in the truest sense of the word. He reformed the Civil Service Administration on the federal level, the police department in New York City, and cleaned up state government in New York. They kept pushing him up to get him out of the way. Everyone thought making him Vice-President under McKinley was a sure way to get him out of everyone's hair. Who knew an assasin would make him POTUS with one shot?!?!

Thank Roosevelt for the 40 hour work week, child labor laws, end of monopolistic corporations, workplace safety, the first Civil Rights legislation after Reconstruction, and (perhaps most importantly) the Antiquities Act which set aside large tracts of land and the establishment of a National Parks system.

Clinton could only dream of accomplishing a fraction of what TR accomplished. BTW, don't forget that Teddy Roosevelt also won a Nobel Peace prize and was responsible for the Panama Canal, development of a standing military, ironclad warships (instead of wooden Navy vessels) and the introduction of free democracies in the Caribbean.

You'll never become president if you say "What's your favorite president?" It should be "Who's your favorite president?" A president is a person not a thing.

My fave was John Kennedy with Bill Clinton a close second.

Ronald Reagan. He fixed our economy. Took down the Soviet Union with out a shot fired. Just an all around great leader who was sure of himself and positive at the same time. And you can thank him for all the peace, prosperity and wealth of the 1990's. Clinton just rode his coat tails and then took the credit while screwing everything up for future presidents by disgracing the office.

Clinton, b/c he was for all of the people. There was also peace during his terms. Clinton gave jobs to everyone. Americans were also happy. Senior citizens didn't have 2 worry about medicine and we had gas under $2.

Bill Clinton was the best president because color didn't matter to him. Alot of our past presidents were racists, but Bill actually fought for what he believed in. Why do you think America voted him in office twice?

You're NOT the real Bill Clinton? I'm shocked but at least you're not asking any more religious questions, Bill. I can tell you who ISN'T my favorite president and I bet you can guess who it is, Bill.

First I would like to respond to the Bill Clinton supporters, You sound like the Russian Revolutionaries "Power to the people" that worked well. Now to your question. . .George Washington. I have said it before I'll say it again he could have kept power but chose to give it up talk about a hero many people could learn from that great man.

Thomas Jefferson. He was a liberal but he was a liberal when that meant he was in favor of keeping the government as small as possible.

He used to show up to meetings in the White House in his slippers to prove a point. That the president of the United States should not be held in any high regard.

He felt we should have no ties to other nations, only friendships. He knew that the nature of government was to grow and that we needed a revolution every once in a while to shrink it back down.

Ronald Regan and George W. Bush because both of them were strong in the face of threats against the United States. Not like the lying peice of poop Clinton. He knew about Osama bin Ladin, and DID NOTHING! Bush won't run from the tough problem of terrorism. At least he is trying his best, and not running from the problem like "i did not have sex with that woman, monica lewinski" Clinton.
