The boy will probably go to college, or at least I would hope so. More of this question will follow later.

this kid is an honor roll student and his dad works and works and works and he is not rich by any means. He feels like he owes his kids an education. To me an education is not the same a child support. It is paying tuition, books, dorm rent etc. I fully will support whatever decision he makes.

Meanwhile the x wife is having all kinds of cosmetic surgery. I cant help but wonder who is reaping the benefits. He gets very angry at me when I bring it up.

He is a fantastic dad. He is very responsible. He was near death a couple of years ago in the hospital in a coma and all the x wife wanted to know was who was going to pay for the boys school jacket and she told him she could only take so long without child support. He was off work for 4 months and almost died.

The legal age for child support is 18. At 18, the boy can find himself a job and start getting aquainted with the real world out there.

If he's a real man, he would do anything for his kid to support him. If that means dropping money during college, then yes. Especially if he is in your house eating out of your fridge. What does your parent agreement say? What state are you in?

Any asshole can be a father, it takes a real man to be a Daddy.

Big difference between a legal obligation and a moral obligation. I know that my ex and I worked our settlement out between us and while my legal obligation stopped I still provide support and will as long as they are pursuing an education to better themselves and become self sufficient

WHY are you paying baby help to a grown son? there is not any choose and it should be stopped. in case you sense that "sorry" on your ex, then you definately not in any respect must have divorced. the hot toddler isn't your duty and also you shouldn't be sending the mummy of your children any extra money. If I were your gf i'd allow you to comprehend to end paying now and end the help or you may kiss our courting see you later. i'd end it in case you do not end the "baby help".
