I might be off-track since I am dealing with something that may also be labelled a "score card" relationship in possibly a different way, and it isn't a productive situation. Seems like I do something nice, that nice thing must be returned in kind and in a timely manner to cancel the debt. Also, a thoughtless infraction on my part is duly recorded and memorialized for perpetuity and for easy recall. This is particularly problematic for me considering my superhuman skills at being an airhead sometimes.
If this is what you are talking about, I'll tell you what doesn't seem to work real well. Suggesting that life is really short and getting more so every day so pick your Friends wisely and once you do, allow them some latitude and credit them with doing the best they can with what they got, and don't insult your Friend picking abilities by second guessing their choices, actions or intentions all of the time.
Anyhow, good luck, seems like you have ran into a couple social snags this week.

Be a little more specific. A score card meaning what? How many guys/girls he/she dated? Beers drank? What?
