315,000 England fans went to Germany for the World Cup (police figures).
Thats three times the size of the whole British Army.
Thye got on generally so well with the German locals that it inspired the German fans to get the flags out as well.
The hooligan thing has gone and the only arrests were for minor public order offences usually after too much sun and beer, and came no-where near the trouble caused by the fans of certain other countries.
Our fans are brilliant.

Ireland. win lose or draw we celebrate. italia 90 played 5 won 0 drew 4 lost 1. did we sulk, did we say we woz robbed ,did we let England beat us, hell no we partied. we were voted the fans of the tournament. half a million people turned out to greet the players home from a competition where they did not win a game.
Italy beat us in the quarter final but we got them back in the giants stadium in '94.
this years world cup didn't miss our team as we weren't good enough but it certainly missed our fans.

I hear Electrical shops such as Curry's have great offers on fans - all types! Good for this weather aswell.
No i'm not thick....it's just your question is so general you could mean fans for anything...fans for what? Football fans? Poilitical fans? Music band fans?
Try rephrasing your question next time - make it more precise and then you may get a more precise answer...

Newcastle Utd.
no other team in the world could get 56000 fans a week and never win a thing, and most of the time not being any good either.

liverpool do because theyre fans are always baking them and cheering them on. take for instance the champians league final liverpool were losing 3-0 at half time and they were singing and when the team came back out they played even better cos they wanted to win it for us and for themselves. we then got 3 goals back and won in penalties.
