ok, make sure shes not with a whole group of mates, coz that could be embarassing for both of you. the best way i would say i just to start a convo, and then drop in, you wanna dance? simple, no big fuss. just like any other question, coz otherwise you will worry too much about it. trust me- whoever she is will love to dance with you! i would if i was her!

You walk up before the prom has really got started and ask that if possible could you have a dance at some point in the evening.
Don't leave it until your drunk or the last minute as most girls will not be impressed by this feeble effort as it reflects on what they think you think of them.
If your nervous just practice it in front of the mirror but be calm, and if the answers is no, then move on but thank her for being honest if she gives a reason.
That way she'll think about the situation and hey she might be walking up to you.
Be prepared, don't smoke, drink or act the arsehole, be yourself and you'll find that you can be a popular guy.
Listen to what she has to say, remember you have two ears and one mouth do the maths and listen more that rattle on trying to impress.
The fact that you approached the situation with respect for the opposite sex will work wonders.
Most important rule, don't give your pals the thumbs up I'm in here because you'll end up on your ****.

I say you ask him. the purely element that would take position is him declaring no yet on account that he sounds like a useful guy he gained't say that. i understand its problematic to ask someone to a dance or everywhere actual and nicely i'm fantastically outgoing yet i nonetheless get frightened. do not complication i'm positive you'll do nice. i wager you may want to both make him a card

Be a gentleman, Take her hand and lead her to the dance floor whilst asking her to dance.... and before you know it she can't refuse you because your already dancing.
