It's called a double standard. Alot of people do it. Doesn't mean it is wright. But, communication is the best way to handle it.

plain and simple...double standards Same thing with if you take a girl who hooks up with diff guys all the time, she is a sl*t..but a guy that hooks up with diff chicks all the time is considered to be *da man* if you know what I mean. The difference comes in what you allow to happen within your own life. If your partner has double standards then you basically need to just stand up to him and ya both either agree that same rules apply to both, or ya both agree to NOT do said things that starts the fight in the first place.

I believe it is not only double standards, but also selfishness, disrespect for the other person, and many other things. My ex husband was this way. It was ok for him to have affair after affair, but if I had done it--even though he encouraged me to so he would feel better about what he was doing--then it would NOT have been ok. He still thinks that it is his right to have affairs and not for his women to have them. What a loser!!!

It's because of the male ego... their pride... they want their woman to have the image of being high up on an angelic pedestal... in simple words>>> they want their woman to have a good reputation... one that they (the man) can be proud of.
