I thought they played very well and that after Italy scored their first goal, Germany just gave up.

What would you expect wid just 2 mins left ?
They did go on the offensive to snatch a last second goal and take it to the penalties but then Italy counterattacked and made it 2 : 0 !

Germany played for the draw during the extra time. It was clear that they thought the game was going to penalty kicks.
They substituted out Klose and then forgot that there were 2 minutes left in the game.
What an exciting finish though.

Yes you are right! But I think that Germany did not play their game well at all. And in a game that important, you can't afford to give up. I was really disappointed but I am a Germany fan for life.

A very exciting game to the last second. Italy was lucky, imho, to come out the winning team.
