Are you really from Africa. seriously I mean other countries have dark skinned people. I mean I am white but am I really why cant you see that I am obviously olive toned native Scot English Italian. I mean it is obvious to any normal person what color i am!! but no you just see me and think white! don't you! racist! see kinda stupid huh. listen just a quick point. can anyone really still be stuck on color? we are all shades of tan! African and slave issues died 400 years ago! every culture has been enslaved by either there own people or others throughout time. if one society was smarter and stronger the other was going to be there slaves. America stopped slavery and yes a lot of slaves were taken from there country by force or by there own people but it was a long time ago and no matter how you got here you are here and that is a good deal for you the person that is in a much better place.

There are some natives to Africa that have literally black skin. It's charcoal black.

When Africans were taken as slaves, they were most likely black, like these native people were. Over the years, it's proven that the further west people have moved in our history, the lighter the skin turned.

Black people's skin eventually started to lighten, taking on a more brownish color.

The name stuck, though.

there r many shades of black & brown. In fact there are more brown ppl from africa in america that black. Most likely caused by the white plantation owner taking the black female slaves and breeding them. Resulting in a brownning of the black race. It continues to happen today only in reverse. More brown/black males are breeding with white females. If this keeps up ther could be a possible elimination of the black race in America.

African eyes operate differently than other people's eyes. The rods don't pick up black as well as other races. Why? The same reason your skin has evolved to a different tone than others'.

Lol, jk. Your skin doesn't actually look black, people just decided to call it that.
