Andrew Jackson was the first president elected by a majority of the popular vote. He did manage to avoid the simmerings of possible seccession with a strong central governement. That aside, he was not a great president. The Indian removal is a blight on our history. By killing the central bank he brought on the panic of 1837. Martin van Buren takes the blame but it was Jackson's fiasco. He was popular but not great by any means.

Well jackson was a great president for a lot of reasons. One he defeated the british in 1812 and was an accomplished military leader. My other reasons are basically that he led this country through some rough times and a president that can even fight the indians in that time and come out almost unscathed, well shows he is an accomplished leader, but also an accomplished general as well.

Thats actually complicated, he was both a good and bad president. He was, in my opinion, not the best president but he did have a few good accomplishments. For example, he was one of the heroes of the war of 1812.
