when they are very young, they aspire to be grown up,

and when they get older, they try to be young again.

no wonder men can't understand them.

what's going on?

Is it something to do with peak age...

ie 17-19...

the power years... want to get there then after down hill?

The real problem is guys aint supposed to ask a girls age...and its ok for her to lie... but if a guy says he is younger then he is, he's a pervert or worse even if immature for age

Double standards or what?

When you are younger, you want to have all of the privileges that you get with being grown up. Then when you get older, you have all of the responsibilities, and you want to go back to being without responsibilities. It's always about the grass being greener on the other side, but the truth is there are positive and negative things about any age. Personally, I would prefer to concentrate on the positive aspects of being the age that I am, because it makes me a happier person that way. :)

try being one.

but saying that, like said above not everyone is like that. i didn't want to grow up and now i am 25 I'm annoyed that people sometimes think I'm younger than i am. at work people will sometimes ignore me and go right over to my partner. i was tattooing one woman and she asked how old i was and i said well i spent 5 years at college and then went to uni to do fine art and then trained here how old do you think i am and she said oh i thought you were like 18-19. the thing is my partner is slightly older than i am, not by much but his mates riped the piss out of him for cradle snatching till they found out how old i was. my mother looks young as well, so i don't mind if i look like her at 45 I'll finally be happy with the age i look :)

when we are young we see all of the wonderful things that adults do and we want to have the freedom of doing them. when we grow up we find that it's not glamorous at all and we just want to go back to when we don't have so many problems and had a carefree, fun life. if you have any more questions or need more detail, let me know.

Well, it's the same thing with boys.

When they are very young they act grown-up like their dads. When they got older, they tend to act more like kids and when they get REALLY, REALLY old they ARE kids. Second childhood? Let me finish my first one ... then we'll talk.

It's because we all want to grown up because you think that grown ups have all the fun, they can drink and drive. (maybe not in that order)
Then you grow up and see that it not all that its cracked up to be, so you wished you were younger, when those were the best times of your life but you never knew and appreciated it.
