Democraps know what they stand for - older and wiser (that's the biggest oxymoron I have ever seen) summed up the democratic stance by and I quote "WE do know what we stand for, anything GWB doesn't."

This is why the democraps are losing elections. The Majority of Americans are tired of that whining. I don't need to say anything else.

WE do know what we stand for, anything GWB doesn't. Like the American people. Health care etc. And you do have a point John Kerry should not have let GWB lies throw him and he did. How low can you be to call a decorated American, who actually fought in a war you hid from,a liar! Kerry let that throw him too bad. And the next person has to rise above the idiocy of spurious charges and stick to facts only.

"I belong to no organized Political Party, I am a Democrat", said Will Rodgers.

See, the Democratic Party gets its leaders and its positions on issues from the people, its members, and not dictated from top to bottom like the Republicans do. So it naturally takes the Democratic Party longer to develop its positions on issues than simply having Karl Rove dictate what everybody is to believe and say and think.

Here is what the Democratic Party stands for as far as I can see, see if you like it or not--fix Social Security with a simple fix like raising the upper brackets, let Medicare negotiate for lower drug prices to save money and make drugs more accessible to seniors, do not sell public assets like aqueducts, water supplies, turnpikes, etc to foreigners or private investors, start moving toward national health care so a simple infection does not bankrupt an entire family, invest in education because its the right thing to do and it pays huge dividends (yes monetary dividends) to the country, extend scientific study, don't make science play second fiddle to religious superstition, and no spying on citizens, or torture because its wrong and it is prohibited by the Constitution. Protect the environment because its the right thing to do and it saves money by keeping people from getting sick needlessly. Oh yes and support judges who support the Constitution, not ramming conservative Christian beliefs down everybody else's throat under force of law. Theres more but you get the picture.

And you don't think the Republicans do the same thing? Politicians both sides) will say and do anything to get a vote. The only thing the GOP knows how to do when the poll numbers go down is to remind us of terrorists, bring up abortion, gay marriage and flag burning while they do what they want in the back room.

They're running on the "we're not republicans" ticket, thats what they stand for, and all they can agree upon. I don't know why they think it will win, it hasn't in the past, and I doubt it will in the future, but thats what they're gunning on. Though, all the mudslinging coming from the left has done a great job for them in the media, look at all the coverage they've been getting.

Here you go stupid.
Liberalism is an ideology, philosophy, and political tradition that holds liberty as the primary political value.[1] Broadly speaking, liberalism seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of minorities are guaranteed. In modern society, liberals favour a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed[2]. Liberalism rejected many foundational assumptions which dominated most earlier theories of government, such as the Divine Right of Kings, hereditary status, and established religion. Fundamental human rights that all liberals support include the right to life, liberty, and property. In many countries, "modern" liberalism differs from classical liberalism by asserting that government provision of some minimal level of material well-being takes priority over freedom from taxation. Liberalism has its roots in the Western Enlightenment, but the term now encompasses a diversity of political thought, with adherents spanning a large part of the political spectrum, from left to right. In the context of economics, the term "liberalism" refers to economic liberalism, which is associated with the political ideology of liberalism itself.

John Kerry is a terrible example, as he was such a weiner dog.

However, I must, sadly, concur that the Dems can't find their butt with both hands.

True,Kerry wasn't much.
Problem is,there are many people who know what they stand for and they're not overly conservative and they're not into politics,

You're sick of a liberal minority.Hell,I'm sick of our boys comin' home in boxes for what exactly I don't know.
